I think that's just sealed RB making a big move to secure Sainz in the next few days. Audi have supposedly given Sainz until next week to decide if he's signing for them.

Or they'll give Yuki a go, but I can't see Perez staying.
Will RB give Sainz a McLaren style 'first is first' contract? 'cos that's all he'll sign.

I get the feeling RB and Max want a fast 2 not a fast teammate

LOL Perez.

Hey Mr Horny, do you want Carlos’ phone number?
rolleyes

Yep. Absolutely useless. Finished last year second in WDC. Currently second in WDC and finished that session 0.5 seconds behind his team mate.

Absolutely hopeless. Sack him immediately.

I'm not sure he's in a position to be that demanding at the moment - his only options seem to be Merc, who are only offering a 1 year contract or alternately race for 13th or 14th with Audi.

I sort of agree until you remember he is son of Carlos.

Awesome from Max. That car was battered into pole.

Sensational from Max there. Arguably out drove the car given where his team mate is. Race on for tomorrow.

I'm still predicting a Norris win.

One of those rare quali's that the car wasn't pole but the driver was, excellent drive.

Verstappen is something else.

Brilliant for McLaren though. Great result.

Ferrari flat.

Mercedes must be scratching their heads.

Boooo biglaugh

Max earned that one.

I had Piastri for pole, so close but no cigar.

Can't be too disappointed with two McLarens within a tenth of Max.

His team mate really isn't a reliable yard stick.

I think the McLaren is still better on medium and hard tyres. Just like Miami.
