I don't understand why any Artist with an established career would want to do Eurovision. With the political bias in the voting andd the general hatred for Britain it becomes at best an embarresment, at worst, career ending.

Didn't we come second a couple of years back, only losing to Ukraine?

On a positive note, good to see the Eurovision ‘24 thread up and running early!

He's very Eurovision, good choice IMO, needs to put together an absolute banger to get over the hurdle of representing the UK though.

It's potentially a very good choice. Apparently he's already quite well known across Europe (and Australia), and it seems that he can produce a decent live performance.

It's a decent enough pick, far better than last year's boring choice.

He is very Eurovision, and known, that's half the battle, so a good tune will see top 5

His only hope is to take alternative citizenship and then just as the results are settled and broadcast a livestream from parliament interrupts and makes him British again.

I don't think it's anti British bias, it's lack of national luck in general.

Yes, we know. You don't need to keep telling us.

I think he'll do very well. He has a knack of making mainstream popular music and is ideally positioned to appeal to euro-pop.

Our bloke/thing looks dreadful , I struggle a bit with all the gayness being thrust in my face, I have no problems with people being gay but I just don't like being reminded about it every 10 minutes. Maybe I'm just an old misery guts .

Anyway Eurovision is a great night on here & the comments & opinions are truly PH at it's finest , Looking forward to it

How do you cope having to hide your non-gayness?

I had a Market stall on Berwick street Market in the heart of Soho for 15 years & I've seen pretty much the emergence of the LBQT & whatever letters & numbers it is today, Had a few great nights in Madam JOJO"s on Brewer street as the owners guest, as I said I have no problem with homosexuality I just don't like being told every 5 damn minutes & I certainly don't think a sub standard Sam Smith should be representing the nation. I did say I'm a misery guts .

Whatever one does behind closed doors is their business . Have fun & enjoy the Eurovision fix next weekend sir.
