Anyone else's wife faff about un-necessarily?
Discussion
I've refrained from commenting on this thread out of fear you'd all think I was making it up.
This morning's performance though takes some beating.
We had to leave home at 11. Absolutely had to. Important appointment.
So I said, last night, "In the morning, I'll walk the dogs and make breakfast while you get ready, we'll easily be ready for 11"
I came back with the dogs
Me - "What are you doing?"
Mrs - "Oh hi, just making bread."
Me - "What's the beetroot for on the side?"
Mrs - "Oh I saw a brilliant recipe on Tiktok, I'm fermenting it!"
Me - "What, when we get back?"
Mrs - "No, it'll dry up, I'm doing it now!"
Me - "We need to leave in less than an hour"
Mrs - "Well I've got to hoover up yet!"

We're out tonight and it's a 30 min drive.
We're picking up people on the way.
She proposed leaving 20 minutes before we need to be there.
We've been to this place many times before.
I asked if we were taking the helicopter.
She did not laugh.
Top tip: he or she whom makes the arrangements, drive you there. We're picking up people on the way.

I find when she’s arranged us to be somewhere and pick people up and is tasked with driving, she gets her arse in gear.
Yet if she hops in the car 15mins before for a 45mins journey and I’m driving, it’s sort of my fault in the car why we’re running late.
Forced accountability I think it’s called.

My wife usually waits until the children and dog are in the car and I have the engine running on the drive before she starts faffing like that. This morning's performance though takes some beating.

Last night we are getting the trailer tent out to have a quick sort out before we leave on Friday. The Mini is across the garage, so she asks "shall I move the Mini?". Yes I reply, stick it on the road. Does she do this? No, she drives it very slowly towards the house and only stops when she drives into the porch.
I tell her she just drove into the house but she denies. She backs up a few inches. Even when I point out the brick dust and mark on the bumper she still denies anything about it.
Now the trailer is blocking the Mini in!

However on this rainy drive I transitioned off the M25 roundabout onto the A13 a bit hot under braking. The unloaded rear tipped into a slight dap of oppo so decided to power through the slip with a bit of throttle and just a quarter turn of counter steer, then full beans in 2nd to join the DC.
She simply said ‘cool, that was good’.
We were still late to the venue, but man points were logged.

The MIL had bought clothes on one of their recent shopping trips. As per usual they now no longer fit/wrong shade at home/don't want anymore. So they're out shopping again (returning clothes). Now the Mrs has bought clothes that NEED to go back !? WTF is wrong with them ?
I had a girlfriend who would buy whatever clothes she liked the look of, then once home would go through them and sort them into "wear" and "return" piles... It's like the purchasing itself is what they enjoy, getting goods to make use of is only an added bonus...Alex@POD said:
