Lamborghini to Sant'Agata

In the final planning stages of a trip later this year in the Gallardo through Europe, ending up in Sant'Agata.
I'll obviously book the usual tours, but I wonder has anyone on this forum actually turned up at the factory in their Lambo?

I know Ferrari always used to have dedicated parking etc if you turned up in one of their cars, curious if L do the same?

Also going to visit Maranello and Pagani on the same trip, expecting to get parked out of sight there lol

Hi K50DEL ,

You have a wonderful trip lying ahead of you .

I have been going to the Lamborghini factory ( almost ) every summer since 2001 .

In the old days you could just park up in the main car park directly in front of the reception entrance in your ancient MX5 or Porsche and walk around most of the factory .
Today things are very different , even if you turn up in your Arancio Atlas Murcielago Roadster ( a Rosso Siviglia Countach might just give you an unfair advantage , but I haven’t tried yet ! )

There is now an overflow car park to one side of the factory and most visitors are directed there .

And once you get into the main reception area you will be met by a bevy of Italian beauties - they form an impenetrable barrier unless you have a prior appointment booked with a named Lamborghini executive .

A couple of years ago my wife and I had reason to ask for a meeting with someone from Polo Storico and we were taken deep into the inner sanctum to see the factory archives . On that occasion we were waved into the main gated car park by the reception area . I don’t think it would have mattered in the slightest what car we rocked up in as the guards had a list of named visitors with booked appointments . But that meeting took about a year to organise .

The guards at the front entrance are very friendly and if you explain that you want a quick couple of minutes to take a photograph of your Lamborghini in front of the factory / museum / reception area I am sure that they will try their very best to oblige .

On Saturdays and Sundays you will be greeted by locked gates , so arrange to visit on a weekday .

Ferruccio’s home in Renato , and his nearby grave , are worth a visit too .
As is the Lamborghini family museum , run by Tonino .

The other Ferruccio ( of PH fame ) has probably been to Sant’ Agata more often and more recently than me , and will no doubt chime in tomorrow with more detailed information .

I did exactly this for a museum and factory tour. I was directed to 'Lamborghini Only' parking in front of the factory.

You'll love it. Pagani is a great tour as well - I'd recommend the factory tour (which also gets you entrance to the museum).

this was some time ago, but organising our trip thorough a uk dealer gave us a lengthy tour for just the two of us

other folks just got rushed through in large groups

I forgot to add that the Futa and Raticosa Passes - once part of the Mille Miglia route - are not that far away from the factory , and are great drives if you are lucky enough to get clear runs .

We have found it least trafficked before about 6AM which is unsurprising, but also surprisingly lightly trafficked between 1 and 3 in the afternoon . Maybe because it’s pasta time ?

San Bernadino

After Pagani I'm heading down to Monaco, via the (very) scenic route, dropping down to the coast and taking mostly the SS1

I'll check out the passes you mention as I've not firmed up the bookings for that section of the trip yet so can always add a day

Changed the route more than a little but have managed to include both those passes, they look amazing, so will be doing them after the Pagani tour on the way down to a new overnight stop on the outskirts of Florence!

Thanks once more for the tip, I'd ask if you had any more for the France / Germany / Switzerland / Italy / Monaco / France route but I'm not sure I can face the stress of changing things again lol

Book a factory tour through your dealer and you get treated very well.

Book a factory tour through your dealer and you get treated very well.

I've heard that too, Unfortunately I don't have a relationship with any of the dealers so not sure I can do that.
